A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
"When it came time to choose our new name, we wanted something that represented more than just a med spa — a brand that reflects who we are today and where we're going."
F.A.B.S. stands for Face and Body Specialists, because we believe true confidence comes from caring for the whole person. Whether it's advanced injectables, laser treatments, skin rejuvenation, or wellness, our mission is to provide personalized care that enhances both natural beauty and overall confidence.

We also loved that F.A.B.S. is memorable and naturally brings to mind the word "fabulous." While the name officially stands for Face and Body Specialists, it also captures the feeling we want every client to leave with — confident, empowered, and absolutely fabulous.

OUR STORY
It began with a nurse
Long before the lasers and the gold-lit rooms, our founder Maria devoted her career to caring for others at the bedside.
Through years of patient care, she discovered a truth that would shape everything to come: real wellness is about more than health. It's about confidence, self-image, and feeling vibrant at every stage of life. That belief led her from nursing into aesthetics — and, over more than six years, into building a practice rooted in clinical expertise and genuine care.

Today, FABS carries that same nurse's heart into every treatment: a holistic, deeply personal approach that blends medical knowledge, artistry, and compassion to help each client reach their own individual goals. It's what makes us feel nothing like a typical medical office — and everything like a place that truly knows you.

Maria Porozhniakova
Founder, FABS MedEsthetic
Maria's passion for caring for others began in nursing, where she devoted her career to improving the lives of those around her. Through years of patient care, she came to believe that true wellness extends beyond health to include confidence, self-image, and feeling vibrant at every stage of life — the belief that led her into aesthetics and, ultimately, to founding FABS.
As founder and lead practitioner, Maria brings a rare blend of clinical expertise and creative artistry to every treatment, and a genuine investment in each client's wellbeing that sets the whole practice apart.
INJECTOR
Audra Puffer
FNP-C, MSN
Audra is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of healthcare experience across a range of settings. She has completed dermatology training and numerous advanced educational programs, including an intensive, injectables-focused course at the Allergan Medical Institute. Continued learning is central to her practice — she believes the best aesthetic injectors never stop growing.

What she loves most about aesthetics is the ability to build trust, create meaningful connections, and deliver results that feel like the best version of you. With a refined, conservative approach, Audra is committed to an experience where patients feel informed, supported, and empowered — achieving natural, harmonious results that enhance each person's individual features.

Dorothy Kern
Registered Nurse (RN)
Dorothy is a Registered Nurse Injector based in Austin, Texas. Her approach to aesthetics is rooted in safety, precision, and a refined eye for balance — enhancing what's already there, thoughtfully and intentionally, so results feel harmonious and never overdone.

With a decade of experience as an Intensive Care Nurse, she brings a strong clinical foundation, elevated attention to detail, and a deeply patient-centered approach to every treatment. Each plan is tailored with care, blending medical expertise with an artistic perspective to create natural, symmetrically pleasing results. Dorothy is passionate about the art and evolution of aesthetic medicine, and loves sharing the education and subtle details that make all the difference.

Andrea Salazar
Licensed Aesthetician & Senior Laser Technician
Andrea has been in the aesthetics industry since 2019, drawn to the field by seeing how the right treatments can improve not only someone's skin, but their confidence. She especially loves working with advanced laser treatments and customized facials, creating personalized plans built around each client's unique skin concerns and goals.

Her favorite treatment is the Fotona 4D, because it works on multiple layers of the skin to improve texture, firmness, and overall quality while keeping results looking natural. Outside of work, Andrea loves spending time with family and close friends, enjoying the little things in life, and — of course — all things skincare.

Lauren Keefer
Marketing & Web Design
Lauren has been leading marketing for Maria and the FABS team for a while now, and she loves every minute of getting creative alongside such a talented group. From this very website to all the wonderful specials the team has dreamed up together, her favorite part of the work is bringing the FABS spirit to life.

She's endlessly grateful for all the clients who allow her to film their appointments — every before-and-after and every fun skit means the world. Lauren loves interacting with clients and treasures all the amazing conversations along the way, and there's nothing she enjoys more than watching the team create beautiful results that leave clients feeling their very best.
